Hydraulink Toowoomba is embracing the community spirit of Queensland’s Garden City by once again sponsoring a sport which says it is both is both the world's toughest and also the most family friendly.
Tim and Stacey Hartshorn stepped up with a Gold sponsorship for the 2023 annual Mountain Man Motocross, a melee of mud, sweat and cheers that this year saw twice Australian Motocross champion the young and popular Dean Ferris take the title from a field of about 30 competitors.
The Toowoomba Mountain Man Motocross event – which was also strongly supported by Tim And Stacey’s fellow community-minded businesses – holds a unique place in Australian motor racing folklore, both because of its dramatic, undulating location, and its place as one of the few great one-off open meetings remaining in Australia, which makes it a career goal for many.
It’s an achievement won by only an elite handful of the nation’s fastest riders, and its history reads like a who’s who of Australian motocross supremacy. It is also a strong community event, attended by scores of Toowoomba district families, which accords with the National Hydraulink hose and service network’s record of mutual support and putting something back into the community where you live and work.
Hydraulink has more than 400 service points throughout Australia and New Zealand, serving major businesses such as Toowoomba’s district’s airport, civil engineering, construction, earthmoving, manufacturing, mining, and agriculture.
“In close-knit communities such as Toowoomba, we are strongly reliant on mutual support and trust, which makes events like this such a great thing to be involved in,” says Tim.
“The event embraces all ages, and has races for women too, so it is great for everyone to get out there and reinforce the bonds that exist between us all,” he said.
Tim and Stacey’s business has won Hydraulink Network partner of the year award, which recognises service excellence and commitment to the local community it serves.
In accord with the Hydraulink’ s corporate signature of “Best Under Pressure” Hydraulink Toowoomba operates both mobile services and a well-equipped service centre in the bustling city that is expected to exceed 125,000 population this year.
